History

Mr. Vidal and his wife D. Maria do Carmo had, about 48 years ago, a small tavern where they served regional delicacies, besides chanfana and suckling pig. With the success of this tavern, they decided to specialize even with their own slaughterhouse, besides the wood ovens.

In 1996 they served 3 suckling pigs for a banquet for Queen Elizabeth II with an enormous success.

The seasoning and roasting time remain a house secret.
